Bra Art 2022

Dear Friend,
My name is Tracey and this cause is very near and dear to my heart. My mother was diagnosed in 1999 with a lump in her right breast and at that time she had no insurance, no money, and no job. I remember telling her not to worry, “I got you.” I started researching how I could get her help and found The Bridge Breast Network. They evaluated, diagnosed and had my mother in surgery within five days, no questions asked. They also helped her with counseling, the wig process, prosthesis and navigating the Medicare program. She would have had no life without them and was able to live for five years cancer-free. Once my mother passed away, I dealt with my grief at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a non-profit organization which gives back 100% of its profits. I became a member in 2008 and started raising funds through the F.O.E. for The Bridge in 2015. Since 2015, the Bra Art event alone has raised $43,203 for the Bridge Breast Network. We hold other fundraisers throughout the year as well, but this the largest event.

Every dollar donated to the Bridge Breast Network is the equivalent of $10 worth of medical care. The Bridge Breast Network uses the money to assist low income, underinsured, and uninsured men and women receive screening, treatment, and support while dealing with breast cancer. From mammograms to mental health and nutrition resources, The Bridge Breast Network strives to help heal the whole human.

Though this started with my personal story, my sisters at the FOE have joined me in my passion for the Bridge Breast Network. Together, we are excited to be hosting our 6th Bra Art Fundraiser on November 5, 2022 and are reaching out to our friends, families and locals for help in making this an even more successful event this year. We are in search of unique and creative bras for our live auction, models, sponsors, raffle items and financial donations.

We can continue to make a difference in the lives of those that need the Bridge Breast Network.
